Job Description

Well-established manufacturing company near Downtown Los Angeles is looking for a Controller. While working closely with the President, the part-time Consultant/CFO, and managing a small team, the Controller will handle accounting and finance functions for the business. The Controller will ensure efficient accounting policies and procedures, drive process automation, and monitor staff production. The Controller will manage the fiscal budget, handle general ledger management, monthly/quarterly/annual closings, conduct bank and account reconciliation, prepare financial statements and journal entries, analyze accruals, as well as prepare cash flow and cyclical variance reports. The Controller will also oversee A/P, A/R, and payroll, produce financial reporting documents, help lead strategic analysis, and collaborate with external audit teams and business partners.

  • Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • MBA or CPA is ideal, but not required.
  • Must have manufacturing or food processing industry experience (costing, inventory, reporting, etc.).
  • Proven leadership ability and management experience are also required.
  • Background of enhancing accounting policies and procedures and implementing process automation is essential.
  • Strong ERP systems and MS Office skills are important.
  • Must be interested and willing to be in a hands-on capacity.
  • Solid career track.
  • Must have the ability to work with various personnel and thrive in a family atmosphere.
  • $135 - 160k.
